The results were announced on Monday night by the organizing committee of IMC Vietnam, following the conclusion of the six-day competition in Mongolia's capital, Ulaanbaatar for elementary- and secondary-school students.
MIMC 2026 brought together competitors from 32 countries and territories.
The 26th competition featured both individual and group competitions, alongside a series of cultural and collaborative activities, including the Culture Night, the Puzzle Challenge, and team-building programs.
In Vietnam, IEG Foundation served as the sole organization authorized by the International Mathematics Competition Committee to select, train, and coordinate the national delegation for the international finals.
After two rigorous rounds of selection, the foundation assembled six teams comprising the country's top 24 students.
Following demanding individual and group contests against some of the strongest participants from around the world, the Vietnamese delegation concluded its campaign in Mongolia with an impressive medal tally.
The team earned four gold medals, seven silver medals, 10 bronze medals, and two honorable mentions in the individual event, and two group championship titles.
