Held annually since 2014, the festival has become a hallmark of cultural diplomacy, strengthening the enduring friendship between Vietnam and Japan, especially between Da Nang and Japanese localities, businesses, and organizations.
This year’s celebration features nightly cross-cultural performances, including Bon Odori dancing, traditional Vietnamese bamboo pole dancing, the grand finale of a cosplay contest, and other performances gathering more than 100 artists from both countries.

Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, vice-chairwoman of Da Nang’s People’s Committee, said that this year’s festival is particularly meaningful as it marks the beginning of a new chapter following the merger of the former Quang Nam Province and Da Nang City.
“This event opens a new development journey and creates greater opportunities for cooperation between the new Da Nang and its Japanese partners,” she said.

The festival offers a meaningful opportunity for Da Nang and Japanese partners to reflect on a decade of cooperation and outline a sustainable development plan for the future.
