The community is meant to create a safe and structured platform where investors, experts, businesses, and regulators can connect, exchange expertise, and contribute policy recommendations to help shape Vietnam's emerging legal framework for digital assets.

The launch comes as digital assets continue to expand rapidly, offering strong growth potential while also exposing uninformed investors to significant risks.

Organizers said VIDA is designed to help address these challenges by improving investor knowledge and encouraging more disciplined market behavior.

VIDA structures its professional activities around three core pillars of the digital asset market: decentralized finance, real-world asset tokenization, and stablecoins.

Through these focus areas, the community seeks to share knowledge, foster in-depth discussion, and promote responsible engagement in the broader crypto and digital asset ecosystem, supporting long-term and sustainable market development.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Phan Duc Trung, chairman of the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Asset Association, said the current market environment requires investors to proactively equip themselves with adequate knowledge to safeguard their interests.

"There is no better way to protect investors than for them to educate themselves, avoid herd mentality, and exercise greater caution when it comes to personal data security," Trung said.

He noted that while digital assets are innovative and attractive, they remain highly risky without proper understanding and awareness of potential pitfalls.

Nguyen Minh Tuan, head of the Vietnam Digital Asset Investors Community, shared a similar view, emphasizing that knowledge and risk management skills serve as a 'soft barrier' that helps investors avoid herd-driven behavior and fraudulent schemes disguised as technological innovation in the rapidly evolving digital asset market.
