The deployment took place on Friday, when six helicopter crews from Regiment 916 of Division 371 under the Ministry of National Defense’s Air Defense-Air Force Service maneuvered from Hoa Lac Airport to Gia Lam Airport, both located in the Vietnamese capital.
The move was made to ensure readiness for missions related to maintaining security and operational safety for the 14th National Party Congress.

After completing technical checks and mission preparations, the helicopters took off from Hoa Lac Airport and landed at Gia Lam Airport at around 5:00 pm the same day.
Ground-based support forces responsible for flight operations and logistics were also mobilized to Gia Lam by road to ensure synchronized deployment and uninterrupted operational capability.
Military officials said that the pilots and flight crews assigned to this mission were carefully selected based on their extensive experience and high accumulated flight hours.
Many of the personnel have previously completed special and complex missions, demonstrating strong operational skills and discipline under demanding conditions.

The 14th National Party Congress is scheduled to take place from January 19 to 25 in Hanoi.
