Vietnam national football team set to appear in EA SPORTS FC games tied to Asian Cup 2027

The AFC said EA SPORTS FC had become an official licensed product of the 2027 AFC Asian Cup finals, which will be held in Saudi Arabia next year.

The agreement will allow participating national teams, including Vietnam, to be integrated into EA SPORTS FC games such as FC 26 and FC Online, two football titles that are widely played in Vietnam.

FC Online has a large player base in Vietnam, where the national team are commonly used in ranked matches and esports competitions.

Vietnam’s Asian Cup team version is expected to be introduced in the games next year if the tournament line-up remains unchanged.

EA SPORTS FC said player ratings, appearances, and special in-game content could be updated based on performances during the tournament, which is scheduled to run from January 7, 2027 to February 5, 2027.

The AFC said further details on game integration, promotional activities, and release timing would be announced later this year.

AFC General Secretary Seri Windsor John said the partnership marked a milestone in promoting Asia’s top men’s national team tournament and reflected the confederation’s push to connect with younger fans through digital platforms.
