Mang But Commune's police in Quang Ngai Province said the incident occurred around 1:00 pm on Friday when a group of six French tourists and a Vietnamese guide were traveling by motorcycle from Mang Den to Mang But along Provincial Road 676.

At a steep section in Vac Y Nhong Hamlet, where roadworks had made the surface slippery, a motorcycle driven by a 55-year-old French woman identified as Devoulon lost control and fell.

The woman sustained a fracture to her left leg and was unable to move.

After receiving a report, local police and health workers provided first aid at the scene before transporting her to a medical facility with the help of local residents for further treatment.

Her condition has since stabilized and she is recovering, police said, adding that the group's motorcycles were secured for safekeeping.

The tourist group expressed thanks to police and local residents for their assistance.

Authorities said Provincial Road 676 is under repair, with narrow, steep, and slippery sections posing traffic risks, and advised motorists to slow down and exercise caution.
