The provincial administration announced on Saturday that the 1.8-hectare project will include an inland wharf capable of receiving ships of up to 1,000 metric tons, as well as a tourism terminal serving vessels carrying 100 passengers.
The project will also feature a two-story commercial and service complex with a total floor area of 11,258 square meters.
It will operate for 49 years from the date the land is allocated or leased.
Investment preparation procedures are set to be carried out from the third quarter of 2026 through the second quarter of 2027.
Construction is expected to start in the third quarter of 2027, with the port scheduled to enter operation in the fourth quarter of 2028.
The project’s investor will be selected via public bidding organized by the provincial Department of Construction.
Relevant departments and local authorities will coordinate on land, environmental, site clearance and other procedures to ensure the project is implemented on schedule and in compliance with regulations.
