Vietnam’s Hue City approves $55.4mn industrial park, non-tariff zone project

Authorities in Vietnam’s Hue City have approved an investment of about VND1.452 trillion (US$55.4 million) for the construction and business of infrastructure at Industrial Park and Non-Tariff Zone No. 1 in the Chan May–Lang Co area, the municipal People’s Committee said on Wednesday.

Deputy chairman Phan Quy Phuong signed a decision approving Chan May Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company as the project investor.

Of the total VND1.452-trillion investment, about VND217.8 billion ($8.3 million), or 15 percent, will be contributed by the investor and about VND1.234 trillion ($47.1 million), or 85 percent, will be mobilized from other sources.

Compensation, site clearance, and land handover are scheduled for the first quarter of 2026 to the fourth quarter of 2027.

Construction must begin within three months of land lease and handover procedures being completed, expected in the fourth quarter of 2026.

The project is to be completed within 24 months of land handover, around the fourth quarter of 2028, the committee said.
