The security showcase is part of large-scale drills ahead of the upcoming ‘Glory to Vietnam’s People’s Public Security Forces’ program, scheduled to take place from Friday to Sunday.

One highlight of the rehearsal was a high-intensity simulation of VIP protection during a sudden terrorist attack.

An escort convoy was tightly arranged with specialized vehicles flanking a sedan carrying the VIP.

As the VIP exited the vehicle, mock assailants emerged from the crowd, throwing explosives and firing shots.

Despite the chaos, the protection detail responded calmly and professionally, quickly deploying ballistic briefcases and returning fire to secure the area.

Spectators also applauded a dynamic motorcade performance involving large-displacement motorcycles maneuvered by traffic and security police.

Additional scenarios showcased crime-fighting techniques, emergency response, tactical driving, and close-combat skills, impressing many onlookers who captured the action with their phones.

Nguyen Ngoc Kim Ngan, a 43-year-old resident of Tan Binh District, said, “I saw posts online and came to watch. The vibe was electric, especially the gunfire, mock explosions, and motorcycle stunts. Everyone was thrilled.”

The ‘Glory to Vietnam’s People’s Public Security Forces’ program, organized by the Ministry of Public Security, will span Le Loi Boulevard and Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, featuring interactive exhibits on policing technology, historic displays of public security achievements, and a final-night music gala on Sunday with popular performers.
