The inaugural commercial flight departed Phu Quoc International Airport in An Giang Province, southern Vietnam and landed at Cam Ranh International Airport in Khanh Hoa Province, located in the south-central region, at 3:45 pm.

The return flight from Cam Ranh took off and arrived in Phu Quoc around 6:00 pm.

Initially, the airline will operate four flights per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays using Airbus A321NEO aircraft, which can carry more than 170 passengers per trip.

The company plans to increase frequency to daily service as demand grows.

On the launch day, the first flights recorded passenger load factors of 90-100 percent, reflecting strong demand for direct travel between the two destinations.

Previously, many passengers had to connect through Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, making the journey longer and less convenient.

The new route shortens travel time to just over one hour, allowing tourists to combine island and coastal resort experiences within a single trip.

Both destinations have seen rapid tourism growth in recent years.

In 2025, Khanh Hoa welcomed about 16.4 million visitors, including 5.5 million international travelers.

Phu Quoc attracted more than 8.1 million visitors the same year, generating nearly VND44 trillion (US$1.7 billion) in tourism revenue.
