The winning ticket matched the numbers 04-20-26-28-37-41.
Under current regulations, Vietlott will deduct 10 percent personal income tax on lottery winnings exceeding VND10 million ($380).
As a result, the winner will pay about VND25.7 billion ($980,000) in taxes and receive a net prize of more than VND231 billion ($8.8 million).
Vietlott said the prize ranks among the largest since the company launched computerized lottery tickets nine years ago.
The biggest jackpot to date was awarded in July 2025 to a player in Ho Chi Minh City, who received VND344 billion ($13 million).
Another major prize of more than VND303 billion ($11.5 million) was won in May 2018 by a ticket buyer in Hanoi.
In the same late Tuesday draw, 32 customers won first prizes of VND40 million ($1,520) each, more than 2,600 players claimed second prizes of VND500,000 ($20), and 56,672 people received third prizes of VND50,000 ($2) each.
Jackpot 2, currently valued at more than VND18 billion ($685,000), remains unclaimed.
Vietlott also reported strong business performance in 2025, with revenue exceeding VND9.68 trillion ($369 million), up 22 percent from 2024 and 11 percent above the target set by the Ministry of Finance.
The company contributed more than VND2.49 trillion ($95 million) to local budgets, a year-on-year increase of 20 percent.
Over the past year, Vietlott has recorded more than 32 million winning tickets nationwide and paid out over VND5.34 trillion ($203 million) in prizes.
