The program is scheduled to air daily from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm between June 25 and 30 on VTVgo and other digital platforms operated by Vietnam Television.
The live broadcasts will draw footage from a network of specialized cameras, surveillance cameras, and camera traps installed across several islands in the national park, including Bay Canh, Trung, Tre Lon, and Tre Nho.

The idea for the program had been in development for years, with Con Dao National Park selected as its first destination. Photo: VTV
VTV ventures into live wildlife broadcasting
Nguyen Thu Ha, head of the Department of Special Features – Science and Education at VTV, described the project as a small but meaningful step for television producers at VTV.
“After years of broadcasting live news, football matches and major events, this is the first time VTV has produced live broadcasts of wildlife,” Ha said.
“We hope to bring nature closer to the public, allowing audiences to observe and better understand our country's natural beauty.
“Through that, we hope to foster greater awareness of environmental protection and a deeper love for our country.”

What sets the program apart is that viewers will not be watching a pre-produced documentary.
Instead, they will witness nature as it unfolds and follow events in real time.
Throughout the live broadcasts, viewers will have the opportunity to follow the journeys of wildlife at every stage, from eggs awaiting hatching to the challenges animals face in their everyday lives.
Director Nguyen Hoang Lam said the project aims to offer a different perspective on nature.
According to Lam, the live format allows audiences to follow wildlife from anywhere and observe life in the wild as it happens naturally.
He added that the project provides a fresh way of experiencing the natural world.
“This project offers a different way of experiencing nature,” Lam said.
“Rather than watching a film that has been edited and pieced together, audiences can observe nature in its pristine state.”

Speaking with Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper, Lam stressed that the live format is the core value and top priority of the project’s storytelling approach.
Instead of relying heavily on the complex post-production techniques commonly seen in science documentaries, the program focuses on faithfully presenting events as they happen in nature.
According to Lam, minimizing intervention in the footage helps preserve the authenticity of natural moments and fosters a stronger connection between viewers and the natural world.
The broadcasts will also feature hosts and experts who will help explain scientific topics in an engaging manner.
In addition, viewers will hear from park rangers about their daily work and life in the field.
