The Da Nang police department said on Monday evening that its criminal police division had coordinated with the Ministry of Public Security’s specialized units and local police to track down the four fugitives.

The three South Korean nationals and the Mongolian suspect were handed over to their respective countries’ police at Da Nang International Airport on October 7 and 8, Lao Dong (Labor) newspaper reported.

On September 29, police arrested Oh Kihoon, born in 1988; An Heejin, born in 1977; and Lee Jongmin, born in 1990, in coordination with police in An Hai and Ngu Hanh Son Wards.

All three were wanted internationally at the request of South Korean police on charges of fraud and organizing gambling.

On October 5, officers coordinated with police in Hoa Cuong Ward to arrest Erdenemunkh Barkhas, born in 1990, who was wanted internationally at the request of Mongolian police on fraud charges, according to Nhan Dan (People) newspaper.

Erdenemunkh told investigators that he had entered Vietnam as a tourist through Ha Tien International Border Gate in An Giang Province, southern Vietnam on October 27, 2025.

After staying in Ho Chi Minh City for a period, he moved to Da Nang and registered his residence in Hoa Cuong Ward.

Police said the operation underscored the police’s commitment to preventing the city from becoming a refuge for international fugitives.
