Local authorities have forecast heavy rainfall from Wednesday night through next Monday, with total accumulation expected to reach 350-600 millimeters, and some areas possibly exceeding 800.
Fearing flooding and landslides, the Da Nang People’s Committee has urged residents to store enough food and essential supplies to last at least three days.

Crowds were reported at major retail chains including Bach Hoa Xanh, Winmart+, and traditional markets, where fresh produce, eggs, meat, and fish sold out quickly.
At a Bach Hoa Xanh store on Pham Nhu Xuong Street in Hoa Khanh Ward, shelves of vegetables were cleared within minutes despite staff restocking them repeatedly from storage.

Da Nang authorities held an emergency meeting on Monday chaired by deputy chairman Tran Nam Hung to coordinate storm response measures.
The city plans to mobilize about 300 small boats from the military and volunteer groups to be deployed across key wards and communes.

Officials have also instructed residents to move vehicles to higher ground, secure household goods and crops, and complete evacuation of high-risk areas by 5:00 pm on Wednesday.
The city is additionally reviewing locations vulnerable to landslides and flash floods.
