This was the last technical check flight, synchronizing the aerial displays with ground-based parade components along Le Duan Boulevard, near the iconic Reunification Palace.
Throughout the morning, the thunderous roar of jet engines and the rhythmic chop of helicopter blades echoed across the city, drawing attention from residents below.
Many took to balconies and sidewalks to capture videos and photos of the rare spectacle as aircraft streaked across the sky, particularly along the fixed route near Bach Dang Wharf.
The practice flights have been ongoing in recent days, with air crews flying intensively in preparation for the historic commemoration.
Starting from neighboring Dong Nai Province, formations have swept across Thu Duc City, Binh Thanh District, and District 1, heading toward downtown Ho Chi Minh City.
The air segment of the grand military parade features a diverse fleet, including the Yak-130, the Su-30MK2, and Mi-8 and Mi-17 helicopters.
