The 15-minute show began at 9:00 pm at the pedestrian bridge area of Van Lang Park in Viet Tri Ward, combining high- and low-altitude fireworks with modern pyrotechnic effects.

The display was held for visitors traveling to Phu Tho for the Hung Temple Festival, which coincides with the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day, observed annually on the 10th day of the third lunar month, falling on April 26 this year.

Both events are part of activities organized by the Phu Tho authorities.

Throughout the evening, colorful bursts of fireworks illuminated the sky above the lake at Van Lang Park, creating a festive highlight for the celebration on the ninth day of the third lunar month.

Crowds gathered around the lakeside, capturing photos and videos as reflections of the fireworks shimmered across the water.

Families, including young parents with children, were seen enjoying the moment together, preserving joyful memories amid the vibrant display.

The Hung Kings' Commemoration Day is one of Vietnam's most important traditional celebrations, honoring the Hung Kings, the legendary founders of the nation.

Each year, the main rituals are held at Hung Temple in Viet Tri Ward, Phu Tho Province, attracting millions of people from across the country as well as overseas Vietnamese communities who gather to pay tribute.

The worship of the Hung Kings was inscribed by UNESCO in 2012 on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, after being recognized by Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism as national intangible cultural heritage.

The events also aim to reinforce the spiritual significance of the commemoration as a national holiday, promote patriotism, and uphold the tradition of remembering one's roots while paying tribute to the nation's founders and predecessors.
