As observed by a Tuoi Tre (Youth) online newspaper reporter on Monday, workers were carrying out final cleaning and technical tasks as the project approached completion.
Viewed from TUI SUNEO Da Nang Hotel on Le Duan Street, the park’s extensive greenery and the distinctive structure on the central lake stand out amid the surrounding urban landscape.
The giant ring is located about 500 meters from Da Nang International Airport, making it a prominent feature for both residents and visitors arriving in the city.

The renovation of the park has attracted considerable public attention as the green space sits amid some of Da Nang’s major traffic arteries.
Also, the park has been part of local residents’ memories for decades.
Da Nang approved the park renovation project with a target completion date in 2026 in a bid to upgrade the city’s public spaces and create a new landmark.

Under a design selected from an international company, the centerpiece on the lake was inspired by the concept of the ‘Ring of Peace.’
The design is intended to evoke the memory of March 29, 1975, the date Da Nang was liberated.
Alongside the architectural centerpiece, the park was redesigned with a stronger emphasis on greenery, cleaner water and expanded spaces for community activities.
The promenade around the lake has been widened, while more steps have been installed to allow visitors to get closer to the water.
A wastewater collection system and water treatment technology have also been incorporated to help control water quality.
Existing trees are being preserved, reinforced and supplemented with new plantings.

Service facilities are being arranged in rectangular structures resembling lanterns, incorporating children’s playgrounds, a water play area, restaurants, refreshment facilities and resting spots.
In the daytime, 100 water fountains installed at the ‘Ring of Peace’ will create a dynamic display, shooting streams of water some 10 meters high.
At night, the area is designed to feature mist projections and 3D visual displays.
The renovated park will also include an outdoor cinema with a floating screen on the lake, a stage, camping and boating areas, and outdoor exercise spaces.
The project, which carried a price tag of VND300 billion (US$11.5 million), got off the ground in 2025.
Its completion is expected by the end of this year.
