According to a notice signed by Tran Huu Bao, deputy director of the Hanoi Department of Construction, work will take place nightly from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am for foundation pits and from midnight to 4:00 am for gantry installation.
During the gantry work, all traffic will be prohibited from entering the bridge in both directions, with vehicles redirected to the Thang Long Bridge or other routes.
The installation of lane dividers will also be carried out nightly from 10:00 pm to 5:00 am.
One-third of the bridge surface will be closed in sections of about 300 meters, with motorcycles using mixed lanes on two-thirds of the bridge.
Construction will continue until September 30 this year.
The department added that daytime traffic on the Nhat Tan Bridge will remain unaffected.
The Vietnamese capital previously installed hard barriers along Vo Chi Cong and Pham Van Dong Streets to improve lane separation.
