In preparation for the 80th anniversary celebrations of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2), Hanoi will set up over 100 LED screens and a public address system across the city to allow residents and tourists to watch a military parade and march live.

The setup plan, signed by vice-chairwoman of the Hanoi People's Committee Vu Thu Ha, is meant to enhance public participation, spread national pride, and ease congestion in central areas, particularly around Ba Dinh Square, where the main event will take place.

As per the plan, a total of 157 LED screens will be installed in key locations, 14 screens at 11 points along three main parade routes, seven screens at six gateways to the capital, and 136 screens in public places citywide.

All screens are scheduled to be set up no later than August 27, and will operate from August 28 to September 2.

In addition, the city will engage enterprises to broadcast the event on their LED screens with a total of 127 screens.

Hanoi will also deploy a large-scale loudspeaker system across some 10 kilometers of the parade route.

This system, rented for the occasion, will broadcast music, announcements, and ceremonial commands to synchronize with the live event.

The routes will be divided into 200 segments, each spaced 30 to 50 meters apart.

Each segment will be equipped with one to two loudspeakers, mounted on power or lighting poles at a height of 3.5 to 4.5 meters, ensuring clear and uniform audio coverage.

An estimated 400 speakers will be installed.

The event will commence at 6:30 am on September 2 at Ba Dinh Square and various central streets in Hanoi.
