The system is expected to move northwest toward the northern part of the East Vietnam Sea.

Adverse weather conditions are already affecting the northern East Vietnam Sea, including the waters around Vietnam’s Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago.

Authorities have advised fishermen and vessels operating in these areas to monitor weather updates closely and avoid entering hazardous zones to ensure safety at sea.

The national weather center also noted the presence of an intertropical convergence zone extending across the central East Vietnam Sea, bringing rain and thunderstorms to the waters from Binh Thuan to Kien Giang, as well as the Gulf of Thailand throughout Tuesday.

These conditions may bring whirlwinds, strong gusts of level 6-7 (39-61kph) on the Beaufort scale, and waves exceeding two meters.
