Vietnam's Nha Trang shines bright with festive Christmas atmosphere

In recent days, large numbers of locals and tourists have headed outdoors to stroll, take photos, and soak up the holiday mood.

Images of Santa Claus, Christmas trees, snowmen, and colorful ornaments line major streets, creating a cheerful and bustling atmosphere across the coastal locality.

Popular gathering spots include areas around April 2 Square, beachfront hotels, churches, and numerous cafés decorated in Christmas themes.

Young people, families, and groups of friends can be seen posing for photos and capturing memories against illuminated backdrops.

At a large Christmas tree near the AB Central Building, Tran Yen Minh, a visitor from Ho Chi Minh City, said occasional rain did little to dampen the festive spirit.

"This is a time for families to be together and reflect on the past year in the cool year-end weather," she said.

"I hope my holiday, and that of everyone visiting Nha Trang, is joyful and warm."

The provincial Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism said Christmas falls during the traditional low tourism season at the end of the year, but visitor numbers in Nha Trang remain relatively high.

Many international tourists are choosing Nha Trang as a winter holiday destination, the department added.

In response, tourism businesses and local authorities have organized cultural and tourism activities to enhance the Christmas experience.

Hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues have invested in seasonal decorations and special programs to meet visitor demand.

Beyond Christmas, Khanh Hoa plans to conclude the 2025 tourism season with a fireworks display at April 2 Square as part of a New Year countdown event, extending the festive atmosphere into the start of 2026.
