The event was attended by Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, U.S. Ambassador to Vietnam Marc E. Knapper, senior Vietnamese officials, and a delegation from the U.S.-based Trump Organization, including executive vice-president Eric Trump — son of U.S. President Donald Trump — and his wife Lara Trump.

Spanning nearly 1,000 hectares with an investment of over $1.5 billion, the project will include a 54-hole VIP golf course, luxury resorts, high-end villas, a modern urban area, and other international-standard amenities.

The project is part of a strategic partnership between the Trump Organization and Hung Yen Company, a subsidiary of Kinh Bac City Development Holding Corporation.

Addressing the ceremony, PM Chinh emphasized the project’s significance in bolstering Vietnam-U.S. relations.

He emphasized that the project would contribute to sustainable and modern development in Hung Yen, creating jobs, advancing technological and managerial practices, and boosting Vietnam’s global image.

He added that Vietnam has become an attractive destination for global investors, including leading U.S. companies like Intel, Nike, Apple, Boeing, and Nvidia—and now, the Trump Organization.

The prime minister urged ministries and local authorities to support the project’s completion within two years, in time to welcome the 2027 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders’ Meeting, which Vietnam will host on Phu Quoc Island off southern Kien Giang Province.

He concluded by thanking local residents for their support and land contributions, urging local authorities to ensure relocated households enjoy improved living conditions.
